Some fans may not know Leao well, so here are five facts about the young striker …
1. Leao, 19, joined Sporting Lisbon in 2008, but played only three league games with the Portuguese giant goal.
2. While he was billed as a future sports star, Leao had chosen to leave this summer, canceling his contract after Sporting fans attacked players and staff during training.
3. Despite links with huge clubs, Leao chose to settle in Lille last summer and excelled with seven goals and two badists in 19 games.
4. Many are back on the podium with Portugal on the international stage, but he has not yet managed to qualify for a senior selection. He is currently undefeated in five games played with his under-21s.
5. Leao is a dangerous striker with a real pace to step back, and he was compared to Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe for that very reason – which is undoubtedly exciting for Everton fans .
