A fire devastated a dormitory in the youth club training center of one of Brazil's largest football clubs, killing 10 people, local media reported.
Three people were also injured when the fire broke out in Ninho de Urubu, the training ground of the Flamengo football club, in Rio de Janeiro.
The fire would have burst while the players were sleeping. The cause is not yet known.
Flamengo is one of the most important and well-known clubs in Brazil.
Publications on social networks have shown the extent of devastation on the ground.
According to the G1 information portal, the fire started at 5:10 am (07:10 GMT) and was turned off at 7:30 am.
None of the victims were identified, but players aged 14 to 17 used the dormitory.
Firefighters reported that the wounded had been taken to a nearby hospital.
The Ninho center in Urubu was expanded two months ago, reports the Reuters news agency.
