The CW has released a preview of “Mother,” the upcoming third episode of Flashthe seventh season which will air on Tuesday March 16. As viewers learned at the end of the series’ Season 7 premiere, Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor) isn’t exactly who she thinks she is. It has been revealed that Eva is actually the mirror-image of the real one who died the night of the particle accelerator crash. This week that secret was revealed to the world, which prompted Eva to come up with a Drastic Plan, and from how things looked in the preview, that Drastic Plan is a total invasion of the real world.
The episode will also follow Iris’s return from the Mirrorverse, something that unfortunately didn’t go particularly well. An unemotional Barry (Grant Gustin) forcibly brought Iris (Candice Patton) back to reality, but she quickly fell apart, making it clear that her recovery won’t be particularly smooth.
“There will be both physical and emotional trauma for Iris as she tries to recover,” showrunner Eric Wallace told ComicBook.com last year. “Then when she does end up because, let’s face it, at some point she will come out of the mirror dimension, but there will be a cost to pay emotionally in a big way and again, no spoilers, it doesn’t. is not something that is resolved in an episode. It’s gonna haunt her for quite a while. “
In addition to Eva’s terrifying plan, the episode will also see the return of Sue Dearbon (Natalie Dreyfuss) who comes to help her friends take care of Eva. You can check out the official episode synopsis below.
RETURN OF SUE DEARBON – As Eva (guest star Efrat Dor) grows more powerful, Barry (Grant Gustin) and his team must find a way to stop her. They are shocked when an old friend – Sue Dearbon (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) risks her life to help them. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Eric Wallace and Kristen Kim.
