Liverpool Airport reopened after being hit by heavy snow during the night, resulting in the closure of the hub run early this morning. Manchester Airport was also hit by heavy snow and canceled all flights before and after reopening before reopening at 10:30.
A spokesman for Manchester Airport told Express.co.uk: "One of our runways has been reopened for departing flights only, so we'll keep you informed about arrivals.
Our aerodrome team worked all night to keep the runways clear, allowing the day's operations to start as planned. However, as the conditions deteriorated significantly this morning, we made the decision to temporarily close our tracks.
