Flu cases continue to increase in Montana, according to DPHHS

According to officials from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, the state continues to see a sharp increase in influenza cases.

The state recorded 728 new cases last week, compared to just under 500 compared to the previous reporting period.

Since the beginning of the influenza season, more than 2,200 confirmed cases, 124 hospitalizations and three deaths – including one child – have been caused by influenza.

Five counties, including Cascade County, recorded more than 200 confirmed cases.
