(Reuters) – Flybe Group plc confirmed Monday that its major shareholder urged the airline to sack its chairman, Simon Laffin, and to investigate the company's discounted sale to a consortium.
Hosking Partners LLP, which owns 18.72% of Flybe according to data from Refinitv Eikon, has asked the company to appoint Eric Kohn to investigate the sales process.
Flybe agreed to sell earlier this month to a group including Virgin Atlantic, Stobart Group and Cyrus Capital of Richard Branson for $ 2.8 million.
