Flying Eagles receive a boost from Aremu, complete the training

The Norwegian club IK Start has asked the Nigerian Football Federation to release the former Super Eagles B star, Afeez Olalekan Aremu, for the U-20 boys, Flying Eagles, Saturday in Lagos.

The defensive midfielder went on to the Eagles Flying Pearlwort Hotel camp in Ikeja and decided to train with the team. The technical team was impressed by his play and, being eligible, he was asked if he could play on Saturday. But he said his Norwegian club should grant him permission to play while he is on vacation in Nigeria.

The director of the team Aliyu Lawal Ibrahim immediately started the process and in the time, the Kristiansand-based club granted permission with a warning that the player must return in Norway on Sunday 22nd July.

Aremu played for the Eagles B in qualifying for the 2018 African Nations Championship and at the WAFU Nations Cup in Ghana in September 2017, but he traveled to Norway before the finals CHAN in Morocco.

The Flying Eagles train at Stade Agege since returning from Nouakchott where they were forced to draw 1-1 in the first leg of the final.

Meanwhile, the African Football Confederation has appointed Egyptian officials to lead the match, with Mahmoud Zakaria Mohamed El Banna as Referee. He will work with his compatriots Ahmed Taha Hossam (Assistant Referee 1), Hany Abdelfattah Mahmoud Elsnadidy (Referee Assistant 2) and Ahmed Mahrous Mahmoud Ahmed Hbadan ElGhandour (Referee Reserve).

Sallieu Kamara of Sierra Leone will serve as match commissioner.
