Flying Into Difficult Airports: London City, United Kingdom – AINtv

[ad_1]

At FlightSafety International's Teterboro Learning Center, we spend some time in a Falcon 900EX Level D simulator learning to fly in some of the world's toughest airports.

Today's most difficult airport is London City, UK, surrounded by water and urban development. Aircraft and aircrew must be certified to land here because of the strong 5.5 degree approach descent path required for noise reduction. A standard descent trajectory is usually 3 degrees.

There are also strict standards for the depth of the runway when pilots have to land on landing in London, otherwise they have to go on a go-around and try again.

In this video, we will take off and land. This is the third video of our series on challenging airports. If you missed them, watch videos on Aspen, Colorado (https://youtu.be/vKiGJunIkN0) and Chambéry, France (https://youtu.be/HkSRewgyKXY).
