Railway services were disrupted after intruders were spotted on the line between Derby and Birmingham.

Social media reports blamed people who wanted to see Flying Scotsman while the locomotive was pbading through the area.

British transport police warned tourists to move away from the tracks, but a group was photographed on an embankment in Walton-on-Trent in Derbyshire.

Standard services were delayed throughout Sunday.

CrossCountry trains apologized to pbadengers for "multiple incidents of intruders" and claimed that pbadenger services were being moved as quickly as possible, but that security was "of utmost importance".

Jake Neil, a railroad enthusiast, tweeted on the tweet that he was shocked to find that so many people involved were kids.

Another Twitter user, Robert Fielding, feared that the problems would lead to banning Flying Scotsman from the main roads.

The National Rail website said the disruption could last until the end of the afternoon.
