Foals should take control of 2019 with not one, but two new albums. Anything that is not saved will be lost Part 1 and Part 2. Today, British rockers have revealed the details of Part 1, as well as the single of the album. They also announced a great world tour.
Part 1 should arrive on the shelves on March 8th. The albums cover a total of 10 tracks, including titles such as "Moonlight", "White Onions", "Syrups" and "I do with the world (and it's done with me)".
"They're two halves of the same medallion," guitarist and singer Foann, Yannis Philippakis, said of the link between the two parts of the project. "They can be listened to and appreciated individually, but they are basically accompaniments."
Our first glimpse contains "Exits," a hectic number, evoking a dystopian world in which "time is against us, we build homes underground and flowers upside down," said Philippakis in a statement:
"There is a definite idea that the world is no longer habitable in this way. A kind of peril lacks predictability and a feeling of being overwhelmed by the magnitude of the problems we face. What is the answer? And what is the purpose of any answer that an individual can have? "
