UEFA has accused Cristiano Ronaldo for a provocative gesture mocking the coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, after Juventus eliminated the Spanish club from the Champions League.

UEFA said its disciplinary committee would hold the charge of "misconduct" on Thursday.

Simeone was fined 20,000 euros by UEFA for making an obscene move after Atletico took the lead in a 2-0 win against Juventus in the first leg. Ronaldo's triumph in the 3-0 win at going to Turin last week propelled Juventus into the quarterfinals.

Ronaldo celebrated at the final whistle by imitating Simeone's gesture.

When Ronaldo played for Real Madrid, he won twice the Champions League final against Atletico.
