Forbes Africa, in partnership with Busy Internet Ghana (ISP), has launched a new digital channel or application, called Forbes8, giving local entrepreneurs access to the opportunities available to them.
The application-based service allows users to connect to watch, listen to seminars, interact with business leaders and offer the opportunity to be supervised by business leaders from around the world. Forbes makes this possible for budding entrepreneurs.
Forbes8 gives the floor to innovators and entrepreneurs with the potential to improve the world, allowing them to share their ideas and inspire others to do the same.
The Android developer, AW3 Media, is the developer of the digital platform.
The president and CEO of AW3 Media Group, Amos Winbush III, in his media address, said the Forbes8 application would provide budding entrepreneurs with the opportunity to submit short videos about their businesses in view of a possible download to the application.
"The flow would be for you and by you," he said.
Speaking at the launch, Deputy Minister of Communications Vincent Sowah Odotei congratulated Forbes on choosing Ghana as the network's premier destination.
He said that this was part of the president's ambitious agenda for infrastructure development.
Mr. Odotei added that the Ministry of Communications works to address some of the risks and challenges of cyberspace.
Chief Business Development Officer Joe Tackie congratulated Forbes on choosing Ghana as the destination for the platform's official launch, describing it as a "game changer".
Forbes' growth director, Tom Davies, encouraged Ghanaian entrepreneurs not to give in to their business and take advantage of the Forbes network8.
