The former captain of Black Queens, Adwoa Bayor, has not yet abandoned active football.

The former African football player of the year returned to football on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 to represent immigrant women in their victory over Samaria Ladies in the NC Special Women's Special.

She played at full throttle and helped her team record their first win in the competition, thanks to Patience Narh's solitary strike.

The 39-year-old registered player of Immigration Ladies, had watched only the bench matches of the last three games, but appeared for the first time on Wednesday afternoon.

Adwoa Bayor has decided to return to football after a long period of play.

She has represented Ghana at the 1999, 2003 and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cups and has also participated in six African Nations Cup tournaments.

The former CEO of Asante Kotoko has signed a one-year contract with FUFA with a renewal option at the end of his stay.
