Former Ghanaian Ambassador to Morocco receives prestigious royal decoration

Former Ambassador of Ghana to Morocco, Stephen Yakubu was awarded the “Alaouite Wissam of the Order of the Commander” prize by King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Moroccan Ambassador to Ghana Imane Ouaadil awarded him the prize.

The Ambassador highlighted the rich experience and achievements of Ambassador Yacubu in developing and diversifying relations between Ghana and Morocco during his tenure.

She also referred to her significant contribution to exemplary cooperation and coordination.

“During his tenure in Morocco, Ambassador Yacubu devoted his long and rich experience to the development and diversification of the excellent relations between the two countries. He has earned the trust, respect and friendship of countless people, as well as among his peers in the diplomatic corps.

She also warmly congratulated Ambassador Yacubu on his appointment by President Akufo-Addo as Regional Minister of the Upper East Region and wished him every success in his future endeavors.

Ambassador Yacubu expressed his sincere gratitude to King Mohammed VI and Ambassador Imane Ouaadil for this prestigious and important award.

The event brought together distinguished guests, including the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the President of the Association, former Ghanaian students in Morocco, senior members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the media.
