A former gender minister, Otiko Djaba, came into the spotlight after being sacked in 2018, but this time she is hosting a TV show for people with disabilities.

Otiko Afisa Djaba, first voice and energetic, the first gender minister appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017, who will be fired a year later, is now a TV host.

According to a report YEN.com.gh Observed on Oneminutegh.com, the women's rights advocate has long been the host of a TV3 show titled "Let's Talk Ability."

When she lost her ministerial post to Cynthia Morrison in 2018, Djaba refused to appease an offer to become Ghana's ambbadador to Italy.

Her excuse was then that she wanted to take care of her husband, a man with physical difficulties. It is not clear but reasonable that Djaba's husband will serve as inspiration for this new project.

Let's Talk Ability, produced by Djaba, would be a talk show aimed at giving Ghanaian society a better understanding of what people with disabilities are experiencing.

It is hoped that society will understand through the program the hardships of life for people with disabilities and explain how disabled people, their caregivers, community, government, NGOs, philanthropists, employers, education, health, justice and the institutions and well-being of people with disabilities.

Djaba, who has experience in similar projects with Plan Ghana in the Upper West region, hopes to be able to carry his message home to open a national conversation.

Meanwhile, award-winning actor, UN ambbadador and social activist, John Dumelo, donated mathematical sets to the final year students of the LaBawaleshie Presbyterian School in East Legon, Accra, June 3, 2019.

Graduating students will soon be taking the National Examination of Basic Education Certificate (BECE). Thus, the actor felt the need to provide practical and moral support.
