Four suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Junior US

Police in Southwest Philadelphia's apartment released photos of the four suspects arrested as part of the murder of Nana Yaw Opoku, better known as Junior US or Iron Boy.

On July 19, shortly after 11 pm, two strangers entered the apartment of Nana Yaw Opokus, in block 7700 of Lindbergh Boulevard.

Police said the men shot the victim, 33-year-old Junior US, and fled. Junior US died instantly.

Three women were with US Junior at the time of the shooting and fled with the suspects in a gray Chevy Malibu, according to the police report and CCTV images released later.

Those arrested were Christina Zogar, 16, from southwestern Philadelphia, Tejan Sherif, 20, Collingdale, Abdoulaye Doucoure, 21, Old City and Alfred Bangor, 22, from Center City.

According to the police, Zogar was arrested on May 22, Sherif on June 18, Doucoure on June 27 and Bargor on July 22. All have been charged with murder, robbery, criminal conspiracy and related offenses.

The latest funeral rites of Nana Yaw Opoku, aka Junior US, took place on June 1, 2019 in Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana, after her best friend, Oboy Murphy, transported her remains in Ghana to return to his family.
