TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan-based group president Foxconn, badembler of Apple's iPhones, told Reuters on Monday that it plans to resign in the coming months, saying it wants to pave the way for young talent.
Terry Gou, speaking on the sidelines of an event in Taipei, said that if he planned to withdraw from the presidency, he hoped to remain involved in strategic decisions regarding the company's activities.
He said his plans would be discussed with Foxconn's board of directors, the world's largest contract manufacturer, formerly Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd.
