The current form of Martyn Waghorn has certainly made Derby County Director Frank Lampard smile.
Waghorn was one of Lampard's nine summer recruits when he joined the city of Ipswich in August on a £ 5m contract worth £ 7.5m with additions.
The striker is now preparing to face his former club when the Rams will go to Portman Road in the Sky Bet Championship Wednesday night (19:45).
After an impressive season at Ipswich, the striker took a long time to find his mark at Pride Park.

He was inside and outside the club at the start, but has now scored four goals in five games, including a hat-trick in Saturday's 2-0 home win against Hull City.
Against Hull, Waghorn had a rare opportunity to lead the line, with injured Jack Marriott and David Nugent falling for the bench.
It was a chance that he grabbed both hands – and Lampard, for one, was delighted.
"It makes me happy," said the director.
"Martyn Waghorn, since he's here, a lot of people are talking about position and how much he's playing, but I think he's himself in a very good position and his form in the last one I do not know how many games, a good time now, has been really good.
"His pace of work is still good but the quality you've seen with both arrivals (against Hull) is something that can make the difference between a draw and a win.
"So, to see him perform like that, with Jack Marriott, hopefully for him, soon for Tom Lawrence, for Mason Mount soon, we need people who can score and create goals, so it will be good to all find them.
"These players are changing games and winning them for you, hopefully, so I have the options I play with and where, which is a great option for me considering the amount of games to come.
"Everyone who grows in the way Martyn Waghorn trains every day and the way he plays is a tremendous symbol for everyone."
