Frank Lampard, boss of Derby County and former Chelsea midfielder, praised defenseman Fikayo Tomori for his progress with the Rams this season.

The center back and Mason Mount have left Stamford Bridge for a season in the championship to reinforce their experience in the hope of being able to contribute to the future success of their parent club.

Born in Canada, Tomori has played 37 league games this season. Lampard praised Lampard ahead of Derby's 3-3 draw with Brentford.

"His progression this year has been incredible," said the retired midfielder in an interview with Rams TV.
