Frank Lampard Quietly Confident About Chelsea's Appointment to Management Talks

Frank Lampard is confident that he will be able to badume the position of Director of Chelsea this summer with Maurizio Sarri Departure from Stamford Bridge imminent.

Lampard started his managerial career at the beginning of last season with the Derby County championship club, after a brilliant career as a player, mostly in Chelsea, where he raised more than 400 appearances in 13 years.

His contract is expected to expire in Newcastle in the coming weeks and Italian reports had hinted that he might be ready to return to Chelsea, talks with the Magpies being at a standstill. 90min however learned that Chelsea had no interest in bringing back Benitez, and that the speculations came from the Spaniard's own camp.

The boss of Ajax, Erik ten Hag, was also mentioned, although the Dutchman is hesitant because of the club transfer ban, which is in full mock appeal procedure.
