Franky Zapta, a 40-year-old French inventor and 40-year-old "jet skipper" pilot, will try to transform the 20-minute flight from Sangatte, France, to Dover with his own invention: the "Flyboard Air", an innovative hoverboard turbine .

His hoverboard contains only enough fuel for 10 minutes, which means that Mr. Zapata must land carefully on a platform halfway across the Channel, where he exchanges his backpack. filled with kerosene before taking off.

Franky's robbery ended when he fell into the water, having not finished his fill.

"It's a huge disappointment." He made an appointment with the refueling boat, but he had to miss the platform just inches away, "said a member of his technical team.

"We have practiced this maneuver dozens of times in heavier seas, with more mobile platforms, without any problem.

"It was not the wind, it was the waves, the platform was two meters above deck, every movement of the boat is exaggerated."
