"The mosquito nets sting students who take advantage of free SHS because there is no school building in which to learn. they get pregnant here and there because when their trail ends and they go home, they have nothing to do; that's why we defend infrastructure, " he said.

Otokunor said the president was unaware of the reality of this country because it was completely disconnected from the fact that NDC had consistently indicated that it would review the miners' free movement policy.

The president, while addressing staff and students at the SHS in Bolgatanga, said some people were willing to foil the free SHS.

His remarks provoked many reactions, especially from the opposition NDC, who felt that President Akufo-Addo's attack on John Mahama was unnecessary.

At the same time, former President John Dramani Mahama made it clear that he had no plans to remove the Free High School High School (SHS) program, instead insisting that politics is "here to stay".

According to him, the Free SHS program is founded and guaranteed by the Ghanaian Constitution of 1992 and can not be canceled by any government.

Mahama spoke at the 27th Annual Residential Delegate Conference organized by the National Union of University Students of Ghana in Kumasi.
