(Reuters) – French group Engie SA plans to buy Emcor Group Inc., which wants to expand in the US market, said Bloomberg Saturday, quoting people close to the case.
According to the report, Engie is working with advisers to enter into an agreement with the US-based company of construction and construction services for electrical and mechanical installations, based in the United States.
No final decision has been made and the French company may decide not to act on the offer, Bloomberg said.
Earlier this month, a consortium led by Engie won a $ 8.6 billion bid for Petrobras' TAG pipeline arm to strengthen the company's presence in the fast-growing Brazilian market .
Neither Engie nor Emcor immediately responded to Reuters' request for comment.
