While morale does not seem to want to continue to know how and when Britain will leave the European Union, EU states are bracing themselves more and more for a tough Brexit.
Although April 12 has been proposed as a new date for the exit of the British bloc, the problems related to trade between the island of Ireland and continental Europe remain unchanged. In particular, the so-called United Kingdom "land bridge", used by transport companies to transport goods to and from the continent, is expected to become a logistical challenge, as far as tariffs and controls are concerned. Traffic jams in ports, congestion on motorways and the possible introduction of excise duties are just a few of the potential problems on the horizon. And so, shipping traffic between Ireland and the continent is expected to increase exponentially.
