His plane took off from the city of Salvador in the state of Bahia on Monday, May 27, bound for Maceió, a little further up the east coast, but it crashed in bad weather in Porto do Mato. Diniz was killed with two pilots, Linaldo Xavier and Abraão Farias. The star would have gone to his girlfriend to celebrate his birthday.
