The Latin popstar Gabriel Diniz died at the age of 28 in a plane crash.
The musician was killed when the small plane of which he was a pbadenger crashed in the city of Porto Do Mato, Estancia, on the south coast of Sergipe, Brazil.
Diniz went to Maceió on Monday for the birthday party of his girlfriend Karoline Calheiros.
Military police confirmed to the local media that Diniz had died in the crash, alongside pilots Linaldo Xavier and Abraão Farias.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Diniz was best known for his success in 2016, Paraquedas, while his last official single, Jenifer, released last fall, had 236 million views on YouTube.
A few hours before the accident, Diniz had been produced in Feira de Santana, Brazil, and had shared pictures of his performance on Instagram.
The singer wrote to his 4.7 million followers: "Always a pleasure to return to Feira de Santana and be greeted with such joy and with so much energy positive, thanks for the kindness of the guys. A real crowd enjoying our show. Until next time, God willing. & # 39;
The message is now flooded with messages of sorrow and condolences to Gabriel's family and friends.
Diniz was a close friend of the Liverpool player and the Brazilian international Roberto Firmino, which had occurred at his wedding, and the footballer paid tribute to his late friend on Instagram.

Firmino's wife, Larissa Pereira, also paid tribute and sent a message to Diniz's girlfriend, Karoline.
She wrote, "I really do not know what to say to you, I wanted to be here to wish you a happy birthday, but I also tell you that I pray a lot for you. Ask God to comfort your heart and make you understand that his plans are sometimes not ours, but what matters is that we all find ourselves one day in a much better place. "
