Investigative reporter, Anas Aremeyaw Anas
Investigative firm Tiger Eye PI described the Ghana Police Service's involvement in the investigation into allegations of fraud and abuse of power against President Charles Bissue as a waste of money unnecessary resources and duplication.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Ghana Poice Service has authorized Mr. Bissue, Secretary of the Interministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, from any wrongdoing.
"Mr. Bissue has not been found guilty of any offense, but a parallel investigation by the Special Prosecutor's Office is still ongoing," the police report said.
The report also reportedly wiped out all the people captured in Anas' video taking bribes.
Tiger Eye P.I, led by investigative journalist Ance Aremeyaw, announced Monday in a statement that he welcomed the police's decision to withdraw from the investigation.
According to the Cabinet, he did not send a petition to the Ghana Police Service and did not participate in any alleged investigation by the Service, as he felt that the Special Prosecutor's Office was the best able to solve the problem.
"As far as we are concerned, the case is still under investigation and we are awaiting the final outcome of the process by the Special Prosecutor's Office," the Tiger Eye PI statement added.

Mr BISSUE & CO NOT EXEMPT – IN-PROGRESS CASE REVIEW
Accra, July 22, 2019
PI tiger eye became aware of an alleged statement from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service suggesting that police were no longer interested in investigating undercover investigations "Galamsey Fraud Part" 1 »companies by Tiger Eye PI
Although it is written in language suggesting the exoneration of Mr. Charles Bissue and his accomplices in matters of fraud and abuse of power, Tiger Eye PI welcomes the decision of the police to evade the investigation.
This is due to the fact that the Ghanaian police were involved in this investigation is nothing more than useless and unnecessary duplication and a total waste of resources.
In February 2019, a petition was sent to the Special Prosecutor's Office just as the documentary was being released. Our lawyers have found the Special Prosecutor's Office the most appropriate for investigating this case, which also concerns politically exposed persons. Tiger Eye P.I did not send a petition to the Ghana Police Service and it did not participate in any alleged investigation of the service. The Ghanaian police have behaved in this case as an unfortunate group of unsolicited people, with no real substance to inform a decision. The Special Prosecutor's Office is fully seized of the case and continues its investigations.
Tiger Eye PI understands that the police claim that they do not have the requisite evidence that has been duly examined by the Office of the Special Prosecutor. the badbadins of Ahmed Hussein Suale, reporter for the Tiger Eye PI newspaper, murdered in cold blood in January 2019, as well as missing girls from Takoradi and other apparently cold files.
Tiger Eye P.I. badures the Ghanaian police of its constant support for uncovering some of these crimes.
Tiger Eye P.I. wishes to badure the public that it is cooperating fully with the Special Prosecutor's Office. The last such cooperation took place on Friday, 19 July 2019 when the Special Prosecutor's Office provided Tiger Eye P.I. with an additional witness statement form.
As far as we are concerned, the case is still under investigation and we await the final outcome of the process from the Office of the Special Prosecutor. We thank the Ghana Police Service for graciously avoiding, as their participation was a useless distraction.
