Gambler sets another record of winnings in a day on 'Jeopardy!'

LOS ANGELES (AP) – A professional sports player from Las Vegas broke his own record of wins in an episode on "Jeopardy!"

James Holzhauer won $ 131,127 during a broadcast on Wednesday night, beating the record that viewers saw established last week.

Due to the schedule of the game show, the records were set at one day interval.

Wednesday's win marks the 10th consecutive victory for 34-year-old Holzhauer. Before his race, the record of the previous episode was $ 77,000 and had been set by Roger Craig in 2010.

Alex Trebek, host of "Jeopardy!", Revealed in March that he had been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer.
