Game of Thrones author George RR Martin reports on HBO spin-offs

With the last season of Game of thrones On the way to its conclusion, fans are hungry for details on the television series that are preparing.

Writing on his official blog, Martin confirmed that the work was going "well" on three The ThronesHBO-based series – and also added that he was not a big fan of the word "spin-off" to describe them either.

"Speaking of television, do not believe everything you read," he wrote. "Reports on the Internet are notoriously unreliable.

"We had five different THONES GAME successors in development (I do not like the term "spinoffs") at HBO, and three of them are still progressing satisfactorily. "
