The second episode of the last season of "Game of Thrones" was the subject of an online leak before its debut on Sunday night.
Fear nothing, fans of "Thrones": although the Internet is dark and full of spoilers, this message is devoid of any detail of season 8, episode 2.
Rumors of a leak started on the Reddit "Game of Thrones" and spread to Twitter, users having said the second episode was airing much earlier than its planned release on Amazon Prime Video in Germany.
The disclosed images were posted on the Openload website, but were quickly disconnected. However, the details of the new episode have already flooded the Internet (and Twitter) – so browse the World Wide Web at your own risk. HBO representatives did not respond to Variety request for comment.
This is the second leak that HBO has encountered in the final of its series. In a separate incident last week, the first episode of season 8 was broadcast four hours earlier on DirecTV.
Piracy has raged for years in "Game of Thrones," but the long battle against leaks has hardly hurt their ratings. The first in the series set a multiplatform record with 17.4 million viewers.
