Gareth Bale and Zinedine Zidane were reportedly outraged by the decision of Real Madrid President Florentino Perez to cancel the transfer of Bale to Jiangsu Suning.
It was generally expected that the Welsh would leave the club this summer, the Chinese side being about to be incredibly close to seal the transfer to success. However, at the last minute, Real decided to cancel the deal and keep Bale for the upcoming season.
According to The Sun, this decision left Bale and Zidane furious, both parties eager to see each other as soon as possible.
It is thought that Zidane is incredibly frustrated by the fact that Perez would go against him and cancel the departure of Bale, and he would feel once again undermined by the president of Real. He wanted to use the money released by Bale's departure to fund a move for Paul Pogba, but now must think of another plan.
It is even thought that this could lead to the departure of Zidane – especially after the humiliating 7-3 defeat against Atletico Madrid – although this seems a little exaggerated at the moment.
He made it clear that he no longer wanted Basel at the club, but there seems to be a lack of potential contenders for the Welsh. One of the options would be Inter, which belongs to the Suning group, which also owns Jiangsu, but this remains to be confirmed by Serie A.
It will certainly not be Jiangsu, who has since signed a contract with Ivan Santini, striker Anderlecht, who will take the last place abroad in his team.
It is thought that the real ones only want to sell Bale, rather than allow him to leave freely. Marca said that Jiangsu was not prepared to do so and it remains to be seen if another camp would be.
Bale is just as frustrated by the situation. His agent, Jonathan Barnett, told Sunday Newspaper that Zidane was responsible for all the problems.
"It's simple: Zidane does not like Gareth – there's no relationship between them, he's never had one," Barnett said.
As a result, Bale is expected to stay in Madrid for the foreseeable future, as most European countries do not want to meet Real's financial demands.
