Liverpool came back to the top of the Premier League on a weekend when Manchester City needed a late return to secure a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Brighton, Watford and the Wolves also managed to qualify for the last four, while in the bottom of the Premier League, Huddersfield let slip a two-goal lead against West Ham.
There was also a late win for the 10-man Leicester at Burnley and a hard-fought draw for Newcastle in their spectacular match against Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri's troubles continue as Chelsea is beaten 2-0 at Everton.
There has been excellent performance in the Premier League and FA Cup, but here is my team of the week.
Goalkeeper – Kristoffer Nordfeldt
I do not think I have ever seen such a performance from a goalkeeper score the end of the losing side. Swansea's Nordfeldt was absolutely brilliant against Manchester City, as double breakaways allowed visitors to stay away until they took Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero. Both players needed something a bit special and even then the decisions of the officials were questionable. A superb performance of the Swedish international.
Did you know? Nordfeldt made six saves in their team's defeat against Manchester City. Only five other goalies have scored more against Man City during a match in all competitions this season.
Defenders – Wes Morgan, Conor Coady, James Milner
Wes Morgan: If I select a replacement for my TOTW, I can guarantee you that the player had an extraordinary impact on the game. Well, Wes Morgan had that kind of impact for Leicester at 10, against Burnley. When the club captain entered the fray, he won crucial headers and crucial interceptions, and then came out to win the winner. When your teammates applaud you in the locker room after the match, you know you have accomplished something special.
Did you know? In addition to scoring the winning goal for Leicester, Morgan made eight clearances against Burnley.
Conor Coady: It's been a long time since the wolves were not in the FA Cup semi-finals. However, Coady had to pay special attention to Marcus Rashford to be able to do it. Captain Wolves took a reservation for the team in the 86th minute. Rashford scored the goal. The English striker was looking to put his team tied. Good call Conor. Life is nothing without good timing.
Did you know? No Wolves player has made more interceptions (3) or more clearances (2) than Coady in his FA Cup win over Man Utd.
James Milner: Here is another substitute that makes my TOTW. There is no doubt about it, Liverpool does not shoot at full speed but can appeal to some players in case of crisis and James Milner is one of these players. His introduction to the game, minutes before the kick was awarded, was crucial. A penalty was offered to them and the only player who did not move when finishing the task was Milner. That puts them at the top of the table before the international break and Jurgen Klopp must now hold his breath and ask his players to come back safe and sound.
Did you know? Milner scored in 51 Premier League matches without ever ending up on the losing side (W40 D11), the record of a player in the competition.
Midfielders – Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, James Maddison, Joshua King
Raheem Sterling: No returns are complete these days without the participation of Raheem Sterling. The England striker is unplayable at the moment. There will be a lot of people who will dispute the penalty inflicted by Andre Marriner (myself included) but what they must accept is Sterling's righteousness and his ability to engage defenders in the box is undeniable. Sterling has become a game changer and catalyst to keep City's quad dream alive.
Did you know? Despite his replacement in the second period when his team lost two goals, only two Man City players had more shots than Sterling.
Bernardo Silva: What a performance of Bernardo Silva. Manchester City, who had only 30 minutes of play, seemed out of reach of the FA Cup but with a superb finish and a superb center of Silva, the match turned and Swansea was absent. It was a game that Manchester City should have lost and not lost – read why in the Crooks of the Matter below.
Did you know? Silva scored and attended the same game for Manchester City for the second time since joining the club. Both occasions were in Wales, the last time against Cardiff in September.
James Maddison: I do not know what motivated James Maddison to take off his jersey after getting a great free kick to level against Burnley, but whatever it was, it worked. These moments that cause players to reveal a message on their underwear are often very personal and very emotional for them. Perhaps it is time for the referees to exercise some restraint and not reserve them automatically but issue a warning. A little compbadion on these special occasions would not be wanting.
Did you know? No Leicester player had more shots (two) or more chances (three) than Maddison versus Burnley.
Joshua King: The first time I saw that boy's eyes, I thought he had a lot of work to do to make an impact on the Premier League. From what I can see, Josh King worked hard to become a regular player on the first team in Bournemouth. His performance against Newcastle was the last indication of how Norwegian international has met the league requirements. Cool under pressure with an eye for purpose.
Did you know? King scored both goals for Bournemouth in the 2-2 home draw against Newcastle, bringing his total to 11 Premier League goals for the season.
Before – Raul Jimenez, Sergio Aguero, Sadio Mane
Raul Jimenez: What season does this boy have for the wolves! The club currently ranks seventh in the Premier League and FA Cup semi-finals. We'd have to go back to Andy Gray and John Richards for days like that. Jimenez is clearly in this clbad, scoring goals and creating chaos for the opposition was the name of his game. The big test for wolves now is to know if they can keep it or keep them excellent. manager.
Did you know? Jimenez has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, at least eight more than any other Wolves player.
Sadio Mane: He directed the show in the first half and hit the bar in second. As Roberto Firmino was never at the party and Mohamed Salah had trouble sneaking behind the net, he was left to Sadio Mane for inspiration. Liverpool gets away with this 2-1 away win. It was an enthusiastic performance by the Cottagers and only one mistake by Fulham goalkeeper Sergio Rico allowed the Reds to return to the match. I remember days when goalies could catch a ball.
Did you know? Mane has scored against 10 different Premier League teams this season, the largest number of teams he has nested in any given campaign.
Sergio Aguero: This game was a parody. Sergio Aguero's services had to be called pronto and Argentina immediately scored two goals and eliminated Swansea from the FA Cup. His first goal was not a penalty and his second was offside, so why did I choose him for my TOTW? This is because neither of the two incidents was his fault. He comes to administer the pain.
Did you know? Aguero was replaced in the second half to get the most shots among the players in the match (five) and score the winning goal.
Now it's your turn
You saw my choices this week. But who would you go to?

The crooks of the material
What is the Football Federation doing with the biggest elimination competition in the world? They make fun of the competition without talking about total confusion. Manchester City survived what would have been the biggest surprise of the round if VAR had been used and if fair play had been applied throughout the competition. But the Liberty Stadium is not a Premier League pitch, so the VAR was not set up for the draw. What nonsense.
Manchester City won the match against Swansea with two goals that would almost certainly have been denied if VAR had been allowed to play his role. The game can stand the chance of the draw, which is part of the custom and practice of the competition, but what he can not bear is the selectivity. If the rules of the FA Cup are not fair and equitable for all participants, it is not a competition at all.
