Gary Neville believes that Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea are separating only very little time, and suggests that this will happen at the end of the season.
The Blues beat Huddersfield 5-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, but that resulted in disappointing defeats at Arsenal and Bournemouth, the latter 4-0.
In the midst of rumors of unrest in the club's locker room, the Blues saw Manchester United bounce back two points from the challenge to rank among the top four.
And Neville thinks Sarri will not be at the club in early 2019/20.
"I do not think Chelsea will fire him during the season, but there are alarm signals that make you think it would be surprising that it's been summer," he said. told Sky Sports.
"Not because I want him to leave – I think he's doing a good job – but looking at this, he probably does the job he is in."
"He took a look at the players and found that they were not doing what he wanted them to do.
"They'll probably never do it, the maximum crew of these Chelsea players is a year, that's the nature of the club.
"No manager can keep this position for a long time, no manager has control, the manager should have control and be the voice of the football club, but there is so much politics going on."
