GCB Bank Ltd is saddened by the death of Ms. Agnes Asampana, a contract employee, on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Ms. Asampana has been badigned to GCB Bank Limited through The Capital Group Limited, a contract placement agency with the Bank to provide employment services.
She was badigned to Suhum Branch and then to Nsawam Hospital for fundraising on behalf of the bank.
The bank is unable to comment on the reason for his alleged suicide. However, by the nature of her job, it is unlikely that she was and could ever have been fired by the Bank, as some media speculate.
The family of GCB mourns his death with his family and wants to clarify that it is necessary to avoid speculation until the police completes his investigations.
We therefore call on the media and the general public to be cautious in everything they publish about the death of Agnes.
