Three women ministers defended President Akufo-Addo's recent comments on the defense of gender equality in Ghana.
According to the Ministers of Local Government and Rural Development, Communications as well as Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the President told the truth when he said that women needed to do more to occupy a place of choice in the political functions.
At the Women Deliver conference in Canada this week, the president said that it would not be enough to wish and hope that women come to the decision-making table.
"We do not see enough dynamism and activism on the part of those who seek. I'm talking about dynamism where it counts … electing members of parliament, controlling political parties, because they are the ones that allow our societies to make decisions, "said Akufo-Addo.

The comments of the president have been criticized and praised.
