Former US President George H. W. Bush died at age 94, his son George W Bush announced.
George Bush Sr., died Friday night, said a statement on behalf of the family.
He was a WWII aviator and a Texas oil mogul before embarking on politics in 1964 as a Republican.
In April, he was admitted to an intensive care unit at the hospital with an infection a week after the death of his wife Barbara.
