George Clooney praises the "wonderful" Meghan Markle who was treated "unfairly"

Hollywood star George Clooney defended her friend Meghan Markle on live television.

The actor appeared on Good Morning Britain and told Charlotte Hawkins and Kate Garroway that she was a "really nice" person and that her treatment had been "unfair".

The interview took place on Friday morning while the 57-year-old is in the UK, following a dinner with his wife Amal and Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

He explained to TV critics the criticism of his friend, saying that she had done nothing wrong.

He said, "I think it's sometimes a little unfair, I saw it when the press can attack you for ridiculous reasons and almost nothing, and it seemed a bit unfair because it did not work. did nothing.

"[She’s] in living her life, she is a very kind, intelligent and intelligent young woman and a wonderful and affectionate couple. "

And this is not the first time Clooney has defended the Duchess of Susbad.

In February, he compared Meghan to the late Princess Diana, claiming that she was "vilified".

Clooney, who attended the royal wedding in May of last year, spoke at an event in Los Angeles.

In addition to talking about the duchess on GMB, the actor also joked about the dance steps of Prince Charles.

"Charles went crazy and started dancing on the tables, we were surprised to see that," he laughs. "He has such good dance moves."

Clooney also said the Americans were "invading Buckingham Palace", which appears to be the case after the recent announcement that Meghan and Harry hired Sara Latham as a new communications officer.

Latham previously worked as Campaign Advisor for Hilary Clinton and will be based at Buckingham Palace, under the authority of the Queen's Secretary of Communications.
