The president of the Ghana League Club Association, Kudjoe Fianoo, has announced that he will run for president of the Ghanaian federation.
The former leader of Ashantigold is the last senior figure to have declared his intention to compete for the leading position.
Fianoo, who has extensive experience in the football administration, should add to the growing number of personalities seeking to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Nyantakyi is seen imposing a global ban by FIFA due to a corruption crisis that has affected his organization.
"Very soon, I will make my official statement and start my campaign to run for president of the Ghana Football Federation," he said.
"At the right time, I will go out officially and announce my plans and campaign team for the elections."
GHANAsoccernet.com understands that the former member of the executive committee has the full support of the government.
