A dominant performance of the Ghana team. Unfortunately, the dashboard does not reflect performance. The Black Stars had 57% possession of the ball, but they only managed 2 shots and were largely limited by Kenyans. Most of Ghana's possession was in areas that would not threaten his opponents. Ghana certainly needs to be creative if it wants to go far in Egypt.
Fans with a jubilant mood
Expectations were high for the Black Stars as they approached this final qualification. Many fans were eager to attend this match and went to the sports stadium in Accra. With our local football in a bottleneck, fans are more hungry than ever, especially fans of Accra as they have not seen the Black Stars play for about two years. The excitement in the stadium was above the roof while the fans were singing and also doing the Mexican wave during the match.
Andre Ayew becomes the 7th most capped player in Ghana
On August 7, 2007, Ayew was summoned for the first time by Ghana coach Claude Le Roy for the friendly match between the team in Senegal on August 21. He made his international debut in the match as a substitute for the last match. 12 years later, André is back in the history books. In the match against Kenya, the badistant captain now has 79 selections for the Black Stars, a figure that places him in 7th place in the historical ranking tied with Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
Ekuban seals his ticket for Egypt?
Mark on your beginnings is a special feeling. This feeling becomes even more special when you mark your birthday. That's the case of Caleb Ansah Ekuban, who plays for Turkish club Süper Lig Trabzonspor, on loan from Leeds United as an attacker. Born in Italy to Ghanaian parents, Ekuban declared for the Ghana National Football Team and made his debut against Kenya as a substitute. He scored the game's winning goal on his 25th birthday.
Emmanuel Boateng may not be part of CAN
Boateng must be inspired by what has become Dwamena (fan favorite, but he has been neglected in recent orders) and sit or leave the Black Stars team quickly. The striker has earned the call on merit after pbading a hat trick against Barcelona and scoring against Real Madrid. He was justifying himself with an impressive performance in his debut against Japan. But he failed to build on that. It must improve or may miss the Afcon ticket.
