From National Democratic Congress [NDC] Fight tooth and nail to win the electoral district of Sene West by just 16 votes despite the fierce battle over who will win this seat.
Parliamentary elections for the constituency come to a standstill after the NPP tried to place an injunction on the results of one of the polling stations, the Tato ‘A’ polling station.
But Wenchi’s High Court dismisses a case it describes as “hopelessly incompetent”.
After the court dismissed the case, EC officers are now continuing to count the ballots for the Tato “ A ” polling station where the NDC obtained 275 votes, the NPP ballot 148, the NDP obtains 1 vote and the rejection of 47 votes in all.
After the tally, EC now adds the total constituency election results which give NDC 13,116, secure MPN 13,100.
EC declares NDC winner of Sene West parliamentary seat after NDC candidate defeated NPP by 16 votes, he rejected 660 ballots for a total of 26,407 people.
After winning Sene West, the opposition NDC now obtains 137 seats in parliament, as does the NPP which obtains 137 seats.
But the NDC dey contests the results of 3 seats including Techiman Sud in particular where the military intervenes and the electoral process.
Meanwhile, the nuclear power plant has too many problems for Banda den Savellugu, both of whom are strongholds of the NDC.
Any party that wins one of the contending seats forms the next majority in Ghana’s Parliament, where it chooses the Speaker of the House.
