Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia with Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands and other officials
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands is in Ghana to discuss how her country and the country of West Africa could strengthen their bilateral relations, particularly in the sector of the economy. ;Agriculture.
Ms. Carola Schouten, who also serves as Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, recently arrived in Ghana for a three-day working visit.
Ms. Schouten began her visit by paying a courtesy call to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana, at Jubilee House on Monday, February 4, 2019.
The Dutch Deputy Prime Minister is also expected to visit a number of ongoing projects on food security and engage farmers to find ways to strengthen existing relationships.
In an article posted on Facebook about the Dutch official's visit, Bawumia said she needed to talk with farmers in Ghana to explore ways to strengthen existing relationships.
Ghana's Minister of Food and Agriculture, Owusu Afriyie Akoto, was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister to Jubilee House.
