Ghana went from 52nd to 51st in the world rankings
The Ghana Black Stars have earned a spot in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola ranking, announced Thursday.
Ghana has moved from 52nd to 51st in the world rankings and has also progressed from a position at the continental level.
The November release sees the Black Stars increase their total points accumulated from 1407 to 1412.
The rise of the Black Stars is attributed to the team's 2-0 win over Ethiopia in the qualifying match for the Africa Cup of Nations earlier in the month.
The Black Stars also climbed from seventh to sixth place, ahead of Cameroon (55th in the world), Egypt (56), Burkina Faso (61) and Mali (64). ).
Senegal (23) beat Tunisia (26) for first place, while Morocco (40), Nigeria (44) and DR Congo (49) rank among the top five in Africa.
