Members of the LGBTQI community deny supporters of dey change profile pictures of dema plus red in solidarity with the campaign.

The organizers of #GhanaGetsBetter say “red in color of which Ghanaian flag dey inside represents the blood of the wana ancestors who give us.”

“Red also symbolizes the color for Ghanaian solemnity, protest, mourning,” they explain in the campaign.

Ghana arrests 22 suspected lesbians for Kwahu Obomeng

Behind the countryside, Ghanaian police are arresting some 22 suspected lesbians for Kwahu Obomeng, in the eastern region, over allegations they have organized a gay / lesbian marriage.

22 suspects are in custody pending investigation of the case.
