– The badociation of designers and architects expressed dissatisfaction with the NPP government for awarding all major Ghana projects to a single individual
– According to a statement to President Akufo-Addo, the architects say that even when they bidded alongside this "favorite government architect" and that he was elected on merit, it was decided to entrust the project to this individual.
– The architects added that Sir David Adjaye was not allowed nor allowed to practice in Ghana.
Dr. Ekow Sam, a Ghanaian architect, asked President Akufo-Addo to study the tendency to attribute government projects to a particular architect.
In a letter, the Design Associates Development Consortium coordinator indicated that he had observed a trend that almost all government projects were badigned to David Adjaye and Associates.
He listed 12 government projects that have been awarded to David Adjaye and Associates since the inauguration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

"Your Excellency, I am inclined to believe that you may not be aware of all these issues, hence the need to bring them to your attention,Said Dr. Sam.
"Our concerns are based on total and absolute disregard and disregard for the principles of transparency, fairness, equity and the laws governing the award of professional services contracts by corporations and statutory bodies."
According to him, David Adjaye and Associates, owned by British architect David Adjaye, is not allowed to operate in Ghana.
He explained that the company was not registered under the 1968 Architects Decree (NRCD357) or the Ghana Institute of Architects.

Mr. Sam therefore wants Akufo-Addo to intervene, adding that it's odd that a company is awarded all government contracts.
