Elizabeth Amoah
It probably sounds like a fairy tale to hear about a woman who has more than one bad and a uterus, but Elizabeth Amoah has been living with this disease for quite some time and has now decided to inform the world.
Speaking on Giovan Caleb for 3 weeks on 3FM Drive, Elizabeth, also known as "Special Lady," revealed that she had to undergo seven medical surgeries after being diagnosed with badual complications.
"I discovered a double uterus and a double badl cbad in 2015 after an MRI. I had to undergo about 7 surgeries, "she told Giovani Caleb.
The CT scan, according to her, has also detected endometriosis: a badual disorder in which the uterine tissues grow apart from the uterus.
She explained that having a double bad means "having a bad on the outside and the other on the inside".
She added that the belly usually shows no symptoms, but rather exposes to health problems such as irregular periods, fibroids, irregular fainting and, in some cases, causing infertility.
"I had a premature baby after four years of non-conception, and going through such health situations was not easy," she said.
She pointed out that the condition is not common among women, saying that "research indicates that it can be found in one in 350 women and that the person may not even know that she is affected ".
After going through this ordeal, Elizabeth is currently back in Ghana to launch a campaign called "Untreated Topics", a project she plans to use with her Special Women's Foundation to educate women, especially girls. , in terms of reproductive health challenges.
Beginning a project that will involve young ladies in Ghana on the health issues facing women, the Foundation will begin the campaign on Sunday 14 April 2019 at the Nima Berlin Bridge at 1400 hours.
The project is expected to host 400 women, young and old, for a meeting with Elizabeth Amoah, Executive Director of the Special Lady Foundation.
