A 10-member Ghanaian delegation travels to China to learn about its level of development and quality education.
The Confucius Institute promotes and teaches Chinese culture and language around the world. It also helps develop Chinese language courses, train teachers, organize cultural and artistic presentations, and provide information on the development of modern China.
She has a branch at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), under a partnership agreement between the University of Hunan City and UCC, which has formed up to 40 Ghanaian students in Chinese culture and language and currently teach this language throughout Ghana.
The institute currently has nearly 10,000 students in local school curriculum facilities across Ghana with the creation of an independent library and language lab.
With this in mind, the two universities share resources to provide educational opportunities in China to Ghanaian students who wish to study in China or pursue commercial activities in the Asian state.
The Special Assistance indicated that the delegation would engage in discussions with government officials and Chinese academic authorities on important issues of great importance, including the capacity building exchange, the signing of a memorandum of understanding and other measures to strengthen diplomatic relations.
He said that Mr. Yu Yunfeng thanked the Government of Ghana for supporting the Confucius Institute to create learning centers within the UCC, University from Ghana and other learning centers in Ghana's high schools.
He said the creation of the Confucius Institute was part of efforts to deepen diplomatic relations between Ghana and China and was optimistic that it will serve as a bridge to bridge the language gap between the two countries. two countries to promote trade, technology transfer and cultural exchange. among others.
"In Ghana, universities with Confucius clbadrooms are very seldom attended by the University Graduate Schools (SHS) and Mfantsipim School," said Yu Yunfeng, adding that they served as additional material for teachers.
Ansah said Professor Kwesi Yankah expressed his thanks to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the collaboration between the two countries and the considerable support received by China in the industrialization program of Ghana.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that as the volume of trade between Ghana and China increases from year to year, we must increasingly develop ourselves, our immersion in the language and culture of the other, "said Professor Yankah.
He said that this would contribute to greater equity in trade if Ghana's universities and language centers and institutes had set up similar schemes to teach Ghanaian languages and promote culture and business in Ghana.
Professor Yankah pointed out that, even though Chinese seemed a difficult language for Africans, linguistics was convinced that fluency in Chinese became easier over time and that Chinese grammar and syntax were not more difficult to learn.
The Ghanaian delegation to China includes the Executive Secretary of the National Board of Accreditation, Mr. Kingsley Nyarko, Professor Frank John Eshun, Vice Chancellor of Takoradi Technical University and Director of the Institute Confucius, UCC, Professor Hu Liangcai.
