The British Broadcasting Corporation has confirmed the appointment of Ghanaian human resources (HR) expert Irene Asare as director of human resources.
His appointment earned him a seat on the BBC News board.
Responding to the news on her Twitter account, the HR expert said: “I am so excited and proud to join @BBCNews!”
She described her appointment as “an honor and a great opportunity to lead the HR team”.

Irene Asare has several years of experience in the human resources field, which has allowed her to offer her skills in multinational institutions globally, including Vodafone, Tullow Oil and Standard Bank Group.
