Patrick Twumasi Twumasi struggled in Spain after playing 13 times in all competitions without scoring a goal

The Greek giants AEK Athens are interested in the signing of the Ghanaian Patrick Twumasi International of Deportivo Alaves, GHANASoccernet.com can inform exclusively.

The striker, who joins Kazakhstan's Kazakhstani club Astana, struggled in Spain after playing 13 times in all competitions without scoring a goal.

According to sources close to GHANASoccernet.com, the attacker will make his move to Greece due to the limited playing time in Spain.

Deportivo Alaves has paid 750,000 euros to acquire the Astana player and he is likely to leave for less.

Twumasi would also be excluded from the project of the new director, Asier Garitino, who was appointed coach of the club at the end of the season after the departure of Abelardo Fernandez.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract with El Glorriso after last summer, after five extraordinary seasons in Astana.
