Many Ghanaians congratulated Ghana's national Imam leader, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, for worshiping Christians at Christ Roi Parish in Accra on Easter, before celebrating her 100th birthday on Tuesday, April 23. .

Activities include Qur'anic recitation contests, a series of lectures to be launched by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, special prayers, blood donation exercises and fun games.

A professor's prize would also be awarded to Sheikh Sharubutu, who has already won several awards.

On Friday, April 19, Vice President Bawumia joined the faithful at the Jummah Prayers to pray for the spiritual leader as well as for the nation and its rulers.
