Danchall singer Shatta Wale lamented that the Ghanaian media called him a local champion while his brand is big.

Shatta Wale also revealed that he could not get the collaboration with Beyonce if his team came to Ghana to ask him about him.

He shared this sentiment in a recent Candyman interview on Darling FM, based in Cape Coast.

"My brand has been bigger from the first day, but the media has refined me as a local champion.

Imagine if Beyonce came to Ghana in search of an artist to argue, believe me, industry players would not recommend it to me.

But as you know, God acts miraculously, "he said.

Shatta Wale had the chance to appear on Beyonce's "The Lion King: The Gift" album on a song called "Déjà".
